Animal study

Wish there was mor efree time in the day for me to do more animal studies. Here's what I've been up to lately.

I didn't want to rub off the lil horse scribble on the upper right hand side. I love simple doodles like that. :)
I didn't bother to finish this stag. Me being the lazy bum as usual.

Oops! A couple of human drawings in here. I thought I'd leave them as it is. Te lil girl drawing was inspired from watching a cartoon while the little boy is suppose to be sketches of my nephew,Adam.

Sorry I was too lazy to add colors to some of the drawings. Was even suppose to do some color study for the crocs but it's getting late here and I'll leave it like that for now. Hope y'all enjoy!
Cheers!

All the best to your years ahead and thank you for being such near and dear friends to me.

At the Clinic

I got sick beginning of last Tuesday night but tough it out till Thursday. But when Friday came, I knew I had to give in and go see the doc or else kill myself at the office. The clinic my bro introduced me to seemed like any ordinary clinic. But it was the patients there that made all the difference, whether it was to be a boring visit or a very interesting one. This visit,I'm happy to say, turned out to be a very interesting one. There were these 2 kids amusing themselves with everything imaginable to while away the time. Especially when it got to playing with their own caps. After playing 'blind men' for a good few minutes, they then took turns to toss their caps back n forth between their grandfather, who being such a cool grandfather, smiled along. But with happy patients also comes grumpy patients. There was this lady who complained,"How come she gets to go in first when we were here before her?". Adults. The sarcastic tone of her voice varies by great degrees from the chirpy voices of the 2 lil boys. Ah,children. Really the salt of the earth. Apart from observing the patients, the doc turned out to be a rather interesting fellow as well. Besides giggling along(he's a giggly but nice sort of chap) with chats about cartoons after finding out about my job status, he gave me a good dose of medication for my ailment which he claims will solve all of the problems I've been having. And it did. I'm happy to report that I was the happiest human being on planet earth at the precise moment I popped those pills into me and felt extreme calm wrapping all over my body within and without. And it made me high too. If you can imagine what laughing is without moving an inch of your body while you're in bed feels like, that would be the closest description as I can come to for that experiece. Aaahhhh....Where are my pills? Time for another dose. Oh,and if you're wondering what the doc's favourite cartoons are...It's the Pink Panther, The Brain and oh! I forgot the other one. Where are my pills?!?

Cheers,folks! #)

Michael Caine on Acting

Part 2 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McNdeKm5c_k

Part 4 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0IlqAd6dcY

Part 5 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgCl2OEOljI

Part 6 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceXMFUPitXA

Ok, I'm a big fan of Michael Caine. But not many people know this. :)
I wanted to share these clips found recently on YouTube which I find very poignant in order to get across the significance of acting,be it for a live action or animation production. Acting plays a very crucial role in enabling the right idea and story to get across to the audience. You get a script, and if it's not delivered accurately and affectively across, then it's well on it's way to ending up being just a mediocre production. I'm not saying that to get an idea across, you have to have perfect acting skills about it,no, but rather...as long as the message is conveyed ideally and hits the right mark...then you have your audience where you want them to be. The subtleties on acting varies depending on the sort of production you're aiming for. Animation is a moving graphic narration and you have all the luxuries of getting the idea across through good acting and should not be squandered and taken for granted. I don't want to give the ol' excuse of budget or time constraint which is always the case(even here), but if an animator is trained properly in the fields of acting as well, I believe it can make all the difference in the world for any of their projects. Bringing it to higher grounds so to speak.
Now if only the animation schools here would also include 'acting' into their syllables. And while they're at it, include the studies of poetry, culture and music.

"Thank you so much,Zeke! For helping me solve the earlier technical difficulties". :)
