Have just completed to big house shift and am now trying to settle down in the new place as well as making up for loss time and work during this hectic period.
Been drawing a lot of superhero stuff in my sketchbook recently so thought I had better update my blog with some of it. Sure had a lot of fun drawing them out and it helped a lot in my anatomy studies. The sketches above were just some weird idea I had late one night at home and just had to scribble it down into my sketchbook before I forget about it. Spur of the moment,folks.
What happened last Sunday at 1 Utama. It was a very fun very different type of environment. Getting to be around young budding artists the whole afternoon is indeed rewarding. Got to see and meet with some of the very young up n coming artists here. There are really some talented kids out there! And am glad to see that their parents are there to support them all the way through. I had the privilege of judging the competition with my colleagues and got to be the one who hands out the prizes to about 2 dozen promising kids out there. While the competition was going on, me and my colleague sat at a nearby booth and churned out Saladin artworks for the parents to see while they wait for their kids to finish their artpieces. Well,this has been looonngg due and I thoroughly apologise for that,folks . I've been so busy with work and stuff that I just didn't have the capacity to finish adding in the colors to all of my travel sketches as yet. And I'm still scribbling in new drawings into my sketchbook day in, day out. It's just not possible for me to keep up with churning up sketch journals each day without compromising the other works. But anyways, here are the first 2 pages of my travel sketches I did while in Tokyo. Was there to attend the Annual Tokyo Animation awards and Anime Festival that took place at Tokyo Big Sight. Truly and unforgettable and wonderful trip there. The people were all beautiful,the culture,the places...everything about Japan. I've fallen in love with all of it. And I definitely want to return to Japan as often as I can. Yeap,the first thing that took my breath away about Japan are the people. Their attitude,their patience,their diligence,...everything about them commands respect and honor. even the littlest of tasks is taken very seriously and with passion. That's the word...PASSION. I've learnt a lot during my one week stay in Japan and I hope that some of that knowledge and experience will rub off on me in my daily life and work. The second thing that took my breathe away is that every inch of the place is CLEAN! Even the dirtiest of section of the city is clean! Even cleaner than my own bedroom I'm ashamed to admit,but its true. I'm thoroughly impressed. Japan has truly earned their place as one of the top Megacities in the world. Our first stop for dinner after checking in at the hotel. Genkiya guarentee fast service of approx. 48 secs per order. And they fulfill it to the dot. My Beef Bowl - 550 yen. Loovveellyyy! My friend,Mastura's order of Curry rice - 450 yen. Love visiting the local marts to check out and buy the enticingly packaged goodies. Everything is so tempting to purchase there. The Japanese are tops when it comes to enticing the buyer to part with their brass. WOOHOO! We're in Vending Machine land. The Cleaners

I've taken two days off from work combined with the some of the holidays we have here. All in all.including the weekends,they make one whole week of holiday. So am taking the opportunity to sort things out at home. Slowly packing away some clothes and stuff for the probable yet unconfirmed possiblity of us moving house within the span of a month or 2 more. Besides having to juggle household management for a change,I try to find the time to get some of my artworks aside. But it's been very very slow. By the time I get the chores,cooking,grocery shopping and some packing done, I'm already quite exhausted. Nevermind having to find the time to do some more research and reading. Guess this is a very good test to push myself on being a better time manager and to stretch my body's strenght and energy to it's maximum capacity. Had fun yesterday going through mum's cupboards with my twin. We were like kids again, playing dress up and making fun of mum's weird fashion sense.
Sorry am not able to post any artworks here as yet cos they're all incomplete. Still have today and tommorrow to sort everything out. Wish me all the best!
Sorry for sorely neglecting my site and voiding it of new artworks,folks. Things have just been,again,pretty hectic here and I'm just about burnt out again...both physically and emotionally. Used to be able to stay up late night after night years back,but now....my body is asking for more breaks than usual. Must constantly remind myself that worrying about paying the bills,taxes and fulfilling ones responsibilities,duties and obligations is no way to live. Sure,I'm alive and well...but I mustn't forget how to live. Thank God for beautiful friends,companions and my loved ones who're always there to bring a smile to my days and remind me not to forget to take a break now n then.
And the guys at MnU are not shirking in their loving duties as well. Reminding me of how much they appreciate my existance by lavishing me with lovely unexpected treats like buying me drinks and meals out of the blues. These pics were taken recently last Saturday when they all treated me to a Jap buffet not far from our neighbourhood. Thank you so much,guys! I really really appreciate and cherish every moment of it. And ranting a bit online does help to ease the pressure a whole lot. So that's basically what I'm doing now here at the office. It's almost time to clock out and I still have a lot of work ahead of me. Thank God also that it's almost towards the end of the month and the holidays are fast approaching. I'm definitely gonna spend my precious days wisely. Gonna pack my stuff before we do shift house eventually, finish all of my sketching and watercoloring as I've been meaning to do, update my sites, chores...drawing,drawing and more drawing. Also thanx to an additional holiday with regards to something that has to do in conjunction with our Sultan. I can't remember what it was...his birthday? the corronation of a new sultan? Whatever it is... HooYah!
Now....back to work. Can't wait to get this job out of the way so that I can get back to my drawings and sketching.
